The brands mentioned in this article offer high-quality fabric and statement clothes with an old money aesthetic at an affordable price, but they’re not necessarily used by wealthy families. The richest families will go usually with well-known brands. But what we want here is to achieve that old-money aesthetic without breaking the bank.

Note 1: All brands mentioned in the following list aren’t considered Quiet Luxury Brands, but you can achieve the old money aesthetic without spending a fortune on clothes.

Note 2: You’ll notice that a few of the brands mentioned above aren’t exactly cheap. For plenty of people, $60+ for a polo may be out of reach. But keep in mind that you invest in quality, not quantity.

15 Old money affordable brands

In this list, we have compiled the most affordable brands with high-quality fabrics to help you achieve the old money aesthetic. We’ll start with the cheapest and move on to the pricier options.

H&M

H&M is the cheapest old money brand and my first check every time I need something for the home, for my toddler, for me, or my husband. You can find good quality clothes at very affordable prices, especially their premium selection that fits old-money aesthetics. Also, check for their promotions, they give 10%, 15%, or 20% off the shopping cart from time to time, so it’s best to keep them in mind for any future purchases.

As a major disadvantage of this brand, their tailoring varies significantly for each item. I recommend checking reviews for each item before purchasing.

I haven’t come across any discussions about H&M as an old money brand, but I really appreciate some of their products and it’s worth paying attention to them.

Zara

Zara, it’s another affordable brand, I like their stuff, especially the kids section. They don’t usually have discounts, so don’t bother to wait to buy when you spot an item from them. I usually buy things for

The clothing line features simple designs with neutral colors and classic cuts. The quality and craftsmanship are exceptional for the price point.

Mango

Mango has high-quality timeless clothes at affordable prices and the wide range of items should easily allow you to put together an old money outfit without much trouble. 

If you’re looking for stylish clothing that won’t break the bank, Mango has got you covered. They offer a range of affordable options, including polo shirts, V-neck sweaters, linen suits, quality fabrics like wool and cashmere at affordableprices. You don’t have to sacrifice quality for price with Mango’s selection.

Eleante

If you are looking for a quick and affordable old money outfit, Eleante it’s your answer. They have few options but at very good prices and qualities and ONLY FOR MEN.

& Other Stories

& Other Stories is a fantastic and affordable brand that offers stylish clothing, but ONLY FOR WOMEN. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for high-quality clothes that won’t break the bank.

Lands’ End

Lands’ End is often compared to fast-fashion retailers like H&M and offers a wide range of high-quality clothing made from durable materials that are built to last.

To find the best deals and discounts, it’s important to take your time and carefully search their website. Fortunately, Lands’ End frequently offers promotions and sales on their website, so with a bit of patience, you can find amazing deals on their clothing and accessories that are aligned with the old money style.

COS

At COS, you can easily find clothes that suit the old-money aesthetic. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent, and I highly recommend it when creating a classic style with affordable clothes.

Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger offers stylish and affordable clothing options for both men and women. Despite having a limited range, their clothing exudes simplicity and elegance.

I regularly keep an eye on this particular brand because I always had positive experiences with their products.

EVERLANE

Everlane offers an opportunity to build a classic wardrobe with minimalist clothing made of premium quality materials at affordable prices. Choose Everlane and invest in a long-lasting wardrobe that will make you look and feel confident every day.

J.Crew

J.Crew it’s another affordable old money brand where you can find clothes that will fit perfectly in this style.

Another thing that I love about this brand is that they offer well-fitting clothes for plus size individuals. Many of us struggle when trying to put together an elegant outfit, but our weight and size should never be a hindrance.

Reiss. I love this brand. It’s really easy to navigate through their website and find the perfect clothes for that old-money aesthetic. But, be aware that quality comes at a price, and their items tend to be on the expensive side. Investing in high-quality items is definitely worth it.

Brooks Brothers

At Brooks Brothers, you can achieve an old money aesthetic without spending too much time. Most of their clothes align with the old-money style, but they are pricier. However, in comparison with the old money luxury brands, they are still affordable.

Banana Republic

Banana Republic it’s one of my favorite brands when it comes to old-money style. They have great fabrics and are pretty affordable comparable with other luxury brands and if you are looking for sales you can find the best deals.

While they’re not the cheapest on the list, they are still a whole lot cheaper than an actual old-money brand. They are my first check every time I want to invest in a high-quality item that is why you will see the Banana Republic brand in many of my outfit recommendations or capsule wardrobes.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren is one of the most expensive luxury brands on this list, often associated with the elite class and old money. While it’s not exclusively favored by the wealthy, its aesthetic closely aligns with old money style, making it hard to resist purchasing something when you step into their store. It’s definitely a favorite brand for those who appreciate the old money aesthetic.

It is considered a timeless brand that has been around for decades, and its clothes are renowned for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Despite the high price tag, Ralph Lauren clothes are worth every penny, as they exude sophistication and elegance that is unmatched by other luxury brands.

Theory

Theory is the last on my list of affordable old money brands. They are not cheap at all, but they don’t fall under the luxury old money brands. Owning Theory clothing is still an investment due to its timeless pieces.

I have arranged this list in ascending order of price, from the cheapest brand to the most expensive, but still affordable for achieving the old money style. As you can see, with the cheaper brands, you may need to invest more time in searching for the right items and it may cost you less money. On the other hand, with the more expensive brands, it may be easier to find high-quality fabric and the best items, but you will have to spend a little more money. Choose whatever it’s suits you the best, and I hope this article helps you!
